Dell Inspiron 1501--bought Jan 15th 2007..as of June 1
*Replaced 3 motherboards
*2 keyboards
*2 optical drives
*Core temp went so high it burned a heavy vinyl cover--they said it could catch fire or
**EXPLODE--PLUS
*mem stick was bad, so
*FINALLY replaced computer with a new one..unfortunately, after waiting for over 2 weeks and insisting they NOT install Vista as my software will not run on it--not to mention we have to deal with micro$loths' invasion of privacy enough on XP without giving permission on Vista...
**they sent Vista
*Said they'd send ANOTHER replacement:
*10 Days later--it's "STILL being built"
**Meanwhile: I've missed 3 weeks of distance classes, (taking for fun, BUT, STILL cost $300), Lost 6 months of work, email, docs, pics, journaling..."irretrievable"
**In a restaurant today--overheard people PRAISING Dell...I bit my tongue. ***Ran across this:
